KYS Steel Hardware grew from the engineering heritage of Kong Yee Engineering Sdn Bhd (廣裕工程有限公司), established in Nilai in 1993 as a steel fabrication firm. Years spent around structures, factories and real project constraints built a practical understanding of how customers use steel—not only how it is sold.
In 2006, KYS Steel Hardware began its steel and hardware trading chapter. In 2020, KYS Steel Hardware Sdn Bhd (廣裕鋼鐡五金有限公司) was incorporated, strengthening the company’s focus on ready stock, responsive quotations, processing support and delivery.
Today, Kong Yee represents the family’s engineering heritage while KYS is the steel-supply focus for the future. The names are different chapters of one journey, connected by reliability, practical service and customer commitment.

Before the current name
A signboard that still carries the family roots.
Before the present-day company names, the family identity was carried on this original “KWONG YEE / 廣裕” signboard. It remains a physical link to the generation that began the journey.
That heritage later continued through Kong Yee Engineering Sdn Bhd (廣裕工程有限公司) and into KYS Steel Hardware Sdn Bhd (廣裕鋼鐡五金有限公司)—different chapters, connected by the same practical approach to steel and responsibility to customers.
